Congratulations to author Christina Potter for winning the 2016 Dog Writers Association of America Captain Haggerty Award for her book Insider Training.

Established in 1935 at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, the DWAA hosts an annual writing competition with awards in various categories. The Captain Haggerty Award for Best Training Book or Article celebrates outstanding literature in the field of dog training. Insider Training was chosen for 2016 and Christina Potter was honored at the annual awards banquet in New York City.

Insider Training presents easy step-by-step instructions for obedience and tricks, and explains canine psychology through the humorous perspective of Christina’s Berger Picard, Chester Gigolo. Under Christina’s exceptional guidance, Chester and his “siblings” have appeared in movies, on television, on magazine covers, and in other media.
