We welcome your questions, comments, query letters, and submissions via email or snail mail. All manuscripts received will be entered into our queue and reviewed as soon as possible. Direct your correspondence to the following addresses:
Please send all inquiries, including submissions, to firstname.lastname@example.org. We prefer PDF or Microsoft Word formatted manuscripts when possible.
If you prefer to contact us via regular mail, please send all items to our office address:
Aperture Press, LLC
201 Washington Street, Suite 533
Reading, PA 19601
Please do not send the only copy of your manuscript, as we cannot guarantee it will be returned to you.
We prefer that your manuscript be completed and as well-edited as possible before submission. If you send an excerpt, be sure to at least include the beginning and one or two of your favorite portions throughout. Don’t worry about formatting it to “look” like a book; keep it simple. Stick to a single font and plain black text, and only add images if they’re really necessary. Let your writing speak for itself!
If you want to send us other materials, that’s perfectly fine. We always appreciate context, including author bios, interesting accomplishments, unique marketing ideas, etc … If it’s relevant we’ll certainly have a look.
Our preferred genres are fiction and historical/biographical nonfiction, but we’ll consider well-written books in other genres, as well.
Readers can find our books through their local book store or online at a retailer such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or Books-A-Million. For ebooks, visit the marketplace on your Kindle, Nook, or other preferred reading device.
Most of our titles are available wholesale from Ingram Book Group and/or Baker & Taylor. To order, please call 800-937-8000 (Ingram) or 800-775-1100 (Baker & Taylor), or check with your existing ordering system. If for any reason you have difficulty ordering from these sources, please contact us via email at the address above.
